Last night, at 6:12 p.m., Halifax Regional Police East Division Patrol members responded to a report of a man struck by a vehicle in the 100 block of Albro Lake Road. A 29-year-old man had just been dropped off at the curb by an acquaintance in a truck with a trailer in tow. As the driver pulled away, he heard screaming from behind, and realized the trailer he was pulling had run over the man he had just dropped off.
The victim suffered what appeared to be serious injuries to his leg and was transported to hospital by EHS.
The matter remains under investigation, however, no charges have been laid at this time.
