A man faces charges after a search today in Halifax by the Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division.
Earlier today, ICE investigators conducted a search of an apartment in the 2300 block of Brunswick Street. Officers arrested a suspect at the scene and seized computer equipment and cell phones.
Twenty-one-year-old Colin Bernard Doucette is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court on October 23 to face charges of possession of child pornography, accessing child pornography and making available child pornography. He was released from custody under conditions to not communicate with children under the age of 16, not to possess a device able to access the internet and not be within 50 meters of a place known to be frequented by children.
