A man faces charges after a search yesterday in Halifax by the Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division.
Early yesterday morning, ICE investigators conducted a search of a residence in the 2000 block of Creighton Street. Officers arrested a suspect at the scene and seized computer equipment.
Sixty-five-year-old William Gordon Lewis is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court on July 28 to face charges of possession of child pornography and accessing child pornography. He was released from custody under conditions to not communicate with children under the age of 16, not possess a device able to access the internet and not be within 50 meters of a place known to be frequented by children.
