Police are investigating four incidents of property damage that occurred last night in Halifax.
At 7 p.m., Halifax Regional Police officers were called to the bus terminal at 7000 Mumford Road after a vehicle drove by and someone inside used what is believed to have been a pellet gun to shoot at a bus as well as some people waiting for the bus. No injuries were reported and the bus sustained a broken window. The suspect vehicle is described as a 90’s model tan Toyota Corolla which fled towards Chebucto Road. There was no description of the occupants.
Police received a report of an apartment building window being shot at in the 0-100 block of Drysdale Road at approximately 8:20 p.m. The window sustained a small hole.
At 8:25 p.m. police received a report of the glass in a bus shelter at Sylvia Avenue and Herring Cove Road being shot out. There was a man standing inside the bus shelter at the time but he wasn’t injured during the incident. The suspect vehicle is described as a grey sedan with two occupants.
At 8:36 p.m., police responded to a residence located in the 800 block of Herring Cove Road in relation to a window being shot out of a home. The homeowner didn’t witness any suspects in this matter.
In all of these cases, it’s believed the damage was caused by a pellet gun. Police believe these incidents may be connected and are asking anyone with information to call 902-490-5016.
