Drug Charges - 2500 Block of Brunswick Street

Two men face charges after a drug search last night in Halifax.

At 10:30 p.m., officers assigned to the HRP/RCMP Integrated Drug Unit conducted a search of an apartment in the 2500 block of Brunswick Street. Officers seized approximately 500 codeine pills, 15 grams of marijuana, 85 hydromorphone pills, drug paraphernalia and $7,000.00 in cash. Twenty-six-year-old Antonio Carvery and 25-year-old Ashley Lord, both of Halifax, were arrested at the scene. Both are facing charges of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking, possession of drugs and numerous breaches of court orders. They were held overnight and will appear in Halifax Provincial Court today.
