Six men face drug charges after a search warrant was executed May 21 in Halifax.

At 8:42 p.m., officers assigned to the HRP/RCMP Integrated  Drug Unit conducted a search of an apartment in the 6200 block of Chebucto Road. Officers seized a quantity of marijuana, cocaine, drug paraphernalia and cash during the search.

Six men, all from Halifax and ranging age from 23 -25, were arrested at the scene and each face a charge of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking. All have been released from custody and will appear in Halifax Provincial Court at a later date.

Drug activity often involves violence that puts innocent citizens at risk and is detrimental to the overall safety of our communities. The HRP/RCMP Integrated Drug Unit investigates complaints and targets people involved in the purchase and sale of drugs. Citizens are encouraged to report drug activity to police at 490-5020.
