Police charge a man after a drug search Sunday morning in Halifax.

On June 24, 2012 at 10:40 a.m., officers assigned to the HRP/RCMP Integrated Drug Unit conducted a search of an apartment in the 2100 block of Gottingen Street. Officers seized a large quantity of cocaine, ecstasy and cash. Thirty-seven-year-old Robert Sousa Walker of Halifax was charged with two counts of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking and appeared in Halifax Provincial Court yesterday.

Drug activity often involves violence that puts innocent citizens at risk and is detrimental to the overall safety of our communities.
