A man and a woman face drug charges after a search warrant was executed yesterday in Halifax.

At 11 p.m., officers assigned to the Drug Unit of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division conducted a search of an apartment in the 1200 block of South Park Street. Officers seized a quantity of psilocybin, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and cash during the search.

A 23-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman, both of Halifax, were arrested at the scene and each face two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. They were released from custody and will appear in Halifax Provincial Court at a later date.
