Drugs and handgun seized during search

Two men are facing drugs and weapon-related charges as a result of a search last night in Halifax. 

At 10:15 p.m., officers assigned to the HRP/RCMP Guns and Gangs Unit executed a search warrant at an apartment in the 100 block of Connor Lane. Officers seized a quantity of cocaine, marijuana, cash and a loaded handgun. Two men were arrested at the scene without incident.

Twenty-seven-year-old Tyler Bradley Richards and 23-year-old Marcus Demitries James, both of Halifax, were arrested at the scene. Both are facing charges of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking and weapons-related offences. They were held overnight and will appear in Halifax Provincial Court today
