Drug/Weapons Charges

A man faces drugs and weapons charges as a result of a search last night in Dartmouth.

At approximately 9 p.m., investigators assigned to the HRP/RCMP Integrated Drug Unit executed a search warrant at an apartment in the 0-100 block of Windmill Road. Investigators seized cocaine, marijuana, a loaded handgun, cash and drug paraphernalia from the residence. A man was arrested at the scene without incident.

Twenty-seven-year-old Michael Anthony Cooper of Dartmouth was held in custody overnight and is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court today to face two counts of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking and four firearms-related offences.
