Halifax Regional Police is informing residents and citizens who travel on Evergreen Place, a dead-end street off Prospect Road, to expect an increased police presence tonight.

In the past few weeks, the dead-end portion of the street has seen a large presence of motorists and motorcyclists who are gathering in the evening to participate in or observe vehicle stunts. There have been reports of dangerous driving, drug use, alcohol consumption and littering. Starting tonight, HRP will be in the area to prevent illegal and dangerous activities and ensure the safety of the public and the individuals involved. Officers will monitor activities in the area and issue summary offence tickets as the situation warrants.
