Five people charged after drug search

Three men and two women face charges after a drug search in Halifax.

On July 29, officers assigned to the Guns and Gangs Unit and the Drug Unit of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division executed a search warrant at a residence in the 100 block of Main Avenue. Officers seized a quantity of cocaine, cannabis resin, marihuana, and drug paraphernalia. A loaded handgun was also recovered during the search. Three men and two women were arrested at the scene without incident.  

All five accused were held in custody overnight and appeared in Halifax Provincial Court today.

Marteno Terrel Anderson, 21, Tina Ann Anderson, 48, Martena Marie Anderson, 21, and Darcy Kerry Pyke, 27, all of Halifax, each face two counts of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of drugs as well as five weapons-related charges. Tereeko Shondell Pyke, 24, of Halifax faces two counts of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of drugs, as well as six weapons-related charges.
