Four men were arrested in connection with a shooting that occurred this weekend in Halifax.

On November 3 at 2:15 a.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to several shots fired in the area of Robie Street and McCulley Street.  A 48-year-old taxi driver was driving north on Robie Street with a male passenger when his vehicle was shot at from another vehicle. The passenger left the scene prior to police arrival. The suspect vehicle, a small silver car, fled the area and no one was injured during this incident.

This morning, police executed three search warrants, one in Williamswood and two in Halifax, in relation to this incident. Police arrested four men in their twenties and are currently interviewing them.

As a result of one of the searches, traffic was shut down in the 2400 block of Old Sambro Road for several hours while police investigated and removed a suspicious package from inside a residence. The package was removed from the area by the Explosive Disposal Unit (EDU), assisted by the RCMP EDU, and officers will be conducting more testing to determine its composition.

Investigators in the HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section are continuing the investigation and are looking to speak with anyone who may have information about this incident.
