Three men and a woman face charges after a drug search in Halifax today.
At 2:45 p.m., officers in the Special Enforcement Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division, along with patrol officers, executed a search warrant at 1547 Barrington Street. Officers seized a quantity of marihuana and cannabis resin. Three men and a woman were arrested at the scene without incident. A 66-year-old woman, a 42-year-old man and a 22-year-old man, all of Dartmouth, and 24-year-old man from Lower Sackville are all facing one count each of possession for the purpose of trafficking in marihuana, and possession for the purpose of trafficking cannabis resin. The woman faces an additional charge of cultivation of marihuana. They were all released on a promise to appear and undertaking and are scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court at a later date to face these charges.
