Investigators in the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division have charged two men, a woman and youth in connection with a stabbing that happened in Dartmouth yesterday morning.
At approximately 2:30 a.m. a patrol officer was walking in the area of the 0-100 block of Primrose Street in Dartmouth. The officer was approached by a citizen asking for help as two people had been stabbed in a nearby residence. Officers attended the scene and located a 49-year-old man and an 18-year-old man who were both suffering from stab wounds to their extremities. They were transported to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries and have since been released.
Shortly after the incident, Emergency Response Team members arrested three males and one woman in the area of Catherine Street and Farrell Road in Dartmouth in relation to this incident. The investigation has resulted in charges being laid against the four people.
The 16-year-old male youth has been charged with two counts of assault with a weapon, two counts of assault with a weapon causing bodily harm, two counts of robbery, break and enter and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. He is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Youth Court this morning.
Twenty-year-old Christopher Steven Slaunwhite, 20-year-old Natasha Irene Lee White and 24-year-old Theodore Payne St. Onge, all from Dartmouth, have been charged with two counts of assault with a weapon, two counts of assault with a weapon causing bodily harm, two counts of robbery, break and enter and two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. Slaunwhite has also been charged with two counts of breach of probation and White has been charged with one count of breach of probation. They are all scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court today.
The investigation into this matter is ongoing.
