At 9 p.m. on Saturday, January 21, Halifax Regional police responded to a two-car motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Windmill Road and Victoria Road. The first vehicle was travelling south on Windmill Road and stopped at a red light at Victoria Road. The second vehicle was also travelling south on Windmill Road and failed to stop and struck the rear of the first vehicle. There was extensive damage to both vehicles. The driver of the first vehicle was not injured. Two passengers in the second vehicle were taken to hospital, treated for minor injuries and released. As a result of the collision, the 19-year-old driver of the second vehicle has been charged with numerous offenses under the Motor Vehicle Act.
