At 7:15 p.m. an East Division patrol member was at the intersection of Commodore and John Savage Drives in Dartmouth when he observed two vehicles racing along Commodore Drive. When the drivers spotted the police vehicle, they accelerated and drove into the Dartmouth Crossing area. One of the vehicles was sighted on Gale Terrace and an officer attempted a traffic stop but the driver continued to drive recklessly. The driver came to a stop after entering a dead end in behind a business on Gale Terrace. He exited the vehicle and surrendered to police. A 20-year-old man was arrested without incident and charged with flight from police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and stunting. His vehicle and license were seized. The 20 year old male was released on an appearance notice to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court at a later date. There were no accidents or property damaged as a result of this incident
