At approximately 4:10 a.m., police responded to an altercation at the Grand Parade in Halifax. Upon arrival, officers located two men who had been assaulted by several other men. One victim was checked at the scene and released by Emergency Health Services. The second victim was transported to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. Two men were apprehended a short distance away and taken into custody without incident. As a result of the investigation two men will appear in court at a later date to face charges of assault causing bodily harm.
