At 6:25 p.m., police responded to an assault with a weapon call at an apartment building in the 1400 block of Martello Street Street in Halifax. A resident of the apartment building was informed by another resident that a suspicious man was seen lurking around vehicles in the underground parking area. The residents located the suspect acting suspiciously around a vehicle. The suspect fled towards the exit followed by the residents. The suspect turned and pulled a knife, threatening the residents, and then fled the area. No one was injured during the incident. Several vehicles were later found to be damaged. The suspect was described as a white male, 6' , medium build, scruffy facial hair, wearing a blue wind breaker style jacket with a red hoodie, blue jeans and sneakers. The matter remains under investigation.
