At approximately 10:15 p.m., police responded to a residence in the 5000 Block of Buddy Daye Street in Halifax in response to a reported break and enter. Upon arrival, officers encountered and arrested several people fleeing the residence. Officers seized a handgun during the course of the investigation. A 38-year-old Dartmouth man and a 20-year-old Halifax man face break and enter charges. They have been released pending their court appearance at Halifax Provincial Court on November 30.
