At 2:15 p.m., police responded to the intersection of South Steet and South Park Steet to a report of a collision between a pedestrian in a wheelchair and a vehicle. The 69-year- old male pedestrian was attempting to cross South Steet when he was struck and knocked from his wheelchair to the ground by a truck making a left hand turn onto South Street. He was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The 43-year-old male driver was issued a ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a marked crosswalk.
