At approximately 2:27 p.m., police observed a vehicle on Lakeland Boulevard in Bayers Lake Business Park with the occupants acting in a suspicious manner. The officer followed the vehicle a short distance and when it stopped in heavy traffic the officer activated his emergency equipment. The driver navigated the vehicle around stopped traffic and drove a short distance away before the vehicle struck a guard rail and became stuck. The two occupants, a male and female, fled on foot. Both were apprehended a short time later and were taken into custody. Members of the HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section have taken over the investigation.
