At 2:15 a.m., officers responded to a suspicious vehicle complaint in the area of Surrey Way in Dartmouth. A traffic stop was initiated and a quantity of marijuana was seized from the vehicle. Two people, a 16-year-old female youth and a 18-year- old man, were charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and released on a Promise to Appear in court at a later date. Three other suspects, an 18-year-old man, a 17- year-old male youth and a 16-year-old female youth, were detained nearby on South Haven Close in relation to thefts from motor vehicles. The investigation is ongoing and police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the property recovered from the suspects.
