At 6:30 p.m., the Pinecrest beat officers responded to a report of a suspicious man in the 0-100 block of Albro Lake Road in Dartmouth. The man was reported to be going door to door attempting to sell drugs. A 43-year-old man was located and found to be in possession of a variety of prescription drugs including hydromorphine, valium, clonazepam and oxycontin. A brass knuckle switchblade combo was located on him as well. He was arrested without incident at the scene and transported to cells at Halifax Regional Police Headquarters. The suspect caused minor property damage while at booking. He will appear in court tomorrow morning to face four counts of illegal possession of a controlled substance, one count of possession of a prohibited weapon and one count of mischief under $5000.
