At 8:36 p.m., police responded to a report of an injured man in the 400 block area of Herring Cove Road. Upon arrival, responding officers located a man who had a serious head injury believed to be the result of an assault. The 37-year-old man was transported to hospital for treatment and his medical condition remains serious but is not considered life threatening at this time. A 40-year-old man will appear in court to face charges of aggravated assault and assault causing bodily harm. Members of the Integrated HRP/RCMP General Investigation Section are on scene and the incident remains under investigation at this time.
