At 5:16 p.m., police responded to the Metro Transit bus terminal located on Mumford Road in Halifax for a report of a robbery. A man tried to rob an elderly woman but she fled the area before the suspect obtained any items. The suspect then confronted several people in the immediate area and fired the plastic pellets at them. Responding officers quickly took a man into custody and recovered an airsoft pistol. A 32-year-old Halifax man will appear in court on January 4 to face robbery and numerous weapons-related charges.
