At 11:30 p.m., east members responded to the 100-200 block of Pleasant Street to a report of an intoxicated man urinating in the complaint's yard. The man was said to have attempted to punch the home owner as police were responding. Members arrested a 44-year-old man at the scene. During the arrest, the accused threatened to kill the officers and resisted arrest. He was then transported Halifax Regional Police Headquarters and processed at booking. While being placed in a cell, the man attempted to assaulted an officer and grabbed at his handgun. The man faces charges of uttering death threats x 2, assault, resisting arrest, assaulting a police officer, attempting to disarm a police officer. Fortunately, the accused, complainant and the officer were not injured during the altercations.
