On October 23 at 10:10 p.m., plain clothes officers conducted a vehicle stop in the 2400 block of Brunswick Street in Halifax. The officers were interviewing the male driver of the vehicle, who was known to police, when he suddenly fled on foot from the officers. The officers gave chase but lost sight of the man. A K-9 team was called in to assist but the subject was not located. At 11:30 p.m., officers attended an address in the 3300 block of Brunswick Street and arrested the man without incident. A 26-year-old Halifax man will appear in court at a later date to face charges of escaping police custody and breaching a court order.
