Update
At 7:20 p.m., officers from the HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section executed a search warrant at an apartment on Primrose Street in relation to this incident. As a result of this search, a 23-year-old woman and an 18-year-old man were taken in to custody. After further investigation, the woman was released without charges. The man is still currently in police custody and will be attending Dartmouth Provincial Court today to face charges of assault with a weapon.
November 6, 2013 (8:45 a.m.)
On November 6 at 12:45 a.m., a delivery person on Wyse Road in Dartmouth was approached by a woman who was bleeding from her back who stated that she’d been stabbed. Police were contacted and the 31-year-old victim advised responding officers she was stabbed during a confrontation with two women on Primrose Street. She was transported to hospital by ambulance. Her injuries are not life threatening. A number of patrol officers and a K-9 team conducted the initial investigation and the matter will be forwarded to the HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section for further investigation. No arrests have been made at this time.
