At 5:05 p.m. on November 19, members responded to the intersection of Oxford Street and Wagewaltic Avenue in Halifax to a report of a vehicle striking a pedestrian in rush hour traffic.  A 20-year-old woman was attempting to cross Oxford Street in an east bound direction when she was struck by a north bound vehicle travelling in the curb lane. All three other lanes of traffic were stopped.  This was not a marked cross walk. She was taken to the hospital with what is believed non-life threatening injuries and will remain there for further testing. The 56-year-old female driver was not injured.  Police continue to investigate this incident to determine if a violation will be issued under the motor vehicle act.
