At 1:15 a.m. on November 24, an 18-year-old man reported to police that he attended an apartment building on Abbey Road in Halifax to meet with an acquaintance. While he was waiting to be let into the building, two males came out of the building and approached him. One of the males was armed with what he believed was a handgun and the second male had some type of sensory irritant. They grabbed the victim, held the weapons towards him and relieved him of a quantity of cash and his cell phone. The two suspects then went back into the building. The victim was not injured, left the area on foot and contacted police a short time later. This isn’t believed to be a random incident as the suspects are believed to be associated with the person the victim was there to visit. At this time the matter is still under investigation. The first suspect is described as a white male, 20-23 years of age, 5’11, approximately 180 lbs., shaved head, wearing a grey sweater, khaki pants and white sneakers. The second suspect is described as a white male, 16-20 years of age, 5’8, approximately 170 lbs., wearing a grey hoodie, black jeans and a white and black ball cap.
