At 10:12 p.m., police responded to the 0-100 block of Forbes Street for a break and enter into an apartment. The victim reported that two men broke into the apartment, one armed with a hand gun and confronted the victim and a man in the apartment. The suspects chased the man out of the apartment and at least two shots were fired. The suspects then fled the scene. No one was injured during the incident. At about 12:50 a.m., patrol members observed a vehicle that was believed to be associated to one of the suspects. The officers attempted to check the vehicle after it went behind an apartment building in the 0-100 block of Windmill Road in Dartmouth. The lone occupant of the vehicle fled the scene on foot. A K-9 unit attended and tracked the suspect but he was not located. The investigation is continuing. Police believe this is not a random act as all the people involved in this incident are known to one another.
