At 1:35 a.m., police responded to an alarm at Habanero’s Taco Bar located at 380 Pleasant Street in Dartmouth. Upon arrival, officers determined that a break and enter had occurred. Video at the location showed two suspects entering the restaurant and attempting to force open the cash register. Officers set up containment in the area and a K-9 unit was called in. The K-9 unit conducted a successful track and located a suspect on the grounds of the Imperial Oil Refinery. The suspect was taken into custody without incident. During the course of the follow-up investigation, a second suspect was identified and taken into custody without incident at his home. Two Dartmouth men, aged 20 and 21, were held to appear in court in the morning to face charges of break and enter, theft and property damage.
