At 4:18 p.m., police along with Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency responded to a motor vehicle crash near 70 Simmonds Drive in Burnside. A vehicle plowing a parking lot struck a guide wire to a power pole, severing the wire which caused the pole to fall. Three transformers fell off the pole, including one that struck the vehicle, and several wires were on the ground. No one was injured as a result of the crash.
