At 4 a.m., police responded to a report of an assault in the parking lot of Costco on Country View Drive in Dartmouth. An employee of Costo was sitting in her vehicle when a man pulled the door open and dragged her out of the vehicle. She screamed and he fled the area on foot without taking any property from the victim. Patrol officers and a K-9 team conducted an extensive search of the area but the suspect could not be located. The suspect is described as a dark complected black man, 20 to 30-years-old, heavy set, 5'11" to 6', wearing a winter coat, gloves and a toque.
