At 11:30 p.m., the suspect taken into custody in relation to four robberies that occurred earlier in the day attempted to escape lawful custody. While being escorted from the interview room to the booking detention area, he attempted to flee from police custody by exiting the booking door and running into the exterior gated compound. He was promptly captured without incident within the gated compound and returned to the detention area. He will be facing an additional charge of escape from lawful custody and another breach of probation charge.
