Shortly after 10 p.m., police responded to a stabbing on Spring Garden Road near Dresden Row. The victim was standing on the street when he was approached by the suspect who stabbed him repeatedly in the upper body. The suspect then fled the area and a concerned citizen drove the victim to the hospital. The victim was treated for life-threatening injuries and remains in hospital. The suspect and victim are known to each other. Presently, police are still actively trying to locate the suspect who will be facing charges of attempted murder and weapons offences. Members of the HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section are investigating the incident.
