At 4:30 p.m., police responded to the intersection of Skeena Street and Adelaide Avenue in Halifax to a report of a robbery. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a 16-year-old male youth who had been robbed of his wallet and cell phone. The victim and his friends stated that they had been approached by two individuals who threatened them physically and demanded the previously mentioned property. The victim relinquished his goods and the two suspects fled the area. The victim and his friends were not harmed. One of the victim's friends was able to identify a suspect and further investigation by patrol officers led them to an address on Skeena Street where the two suspects were located and taken into custody without incident. A search warrant was executed at the residence of one of the suspects which resulted in the recovery of the victim's property. An 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old male youth, both of Halifax, have been charged with robbery and are being held to appear in Halifax Provincial Court and Halifax Youth Court in the morning.
