Upon arrival, patrol officers learned that the victims in this matter, a man and a woman, had been threatened by a person known to the them and the suspect displayed a handgun when the threats were made. As a result of this information, patrol officers contained a nearby residence where the suspect was believed to reside and shut down vehicle and pedestrian traffic in the area. The residence in question and the surrounding area was searched and a pellet handgun was recovered. The suspect, who was not in the residence, later turned himself in to police. A 42-year-old Dartmouth man faces charges of uttering threats and intimidation of a justice participant as well as weapons-related charges. He is being held in custody and will appear in Dartmouth Court in the morning. No one was injured during the course of this incident.
