At approximately 8 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to the area of Devonshire Avenue and Albert Street in Halifax in relation to a robbery that had just occurred. Officers spoke to a male victim who stated that he was approached by a youth asking for a cigarette. When he provided the cigarette, he was punched in the face. The youth demanded the contents of his pockets and relieved the victim of his cell phone. The victim was then kicked and punched by three other youths along with the original suspect. All suspects fled on foot. They are described as black males approximately 16 to 18 years old, wearing mostly black clothing. The matter remains under investigation.
