At 12:48 a.m., police responded to a motor vehicle crash on Breeze Drive in Dartmouth. Witnesses stated that a man driving a black Honda Civic lost control of the vehicle and struck a light pole. He then fled the area on foot. Officers quickly determined that the vehicle had been stolen from the Tantallon area on January 10. Officers set up containment in the area while a K-9 officer began a track. Approximately 22 minutes later the track came to a succcessful conclusion on Avenue Du Portage with the arrest of a 22-year-old man from the Pockwock area. The suspect is facing a number of criminal charges including possession of stolen property, impaired driving and three counts of breach of undertakings.
