At 4 a.m., police responded to a report of a break and enter in-progress at an apartment building on Tupper Street in Dartmouth. Multiple units responded to the scene and a suspect was arrested as he fled from the building. Officers determined that the suspect had broken into the apartment building and entered the laundry room where he broke into one of the coin operated laundry machines. A 46-year-old Dartmouth man has been charged with break and enter, possession of break-in tools and breach of probation. The suspect was released from custody on a promise to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court in February.
