At 6:15 p.m., police responded to the 100 block of Victoria Road in Dartmouth for a report of a stabbing. The suspect went to the door of the residence and asked for a man by name. When the victim went to the door, he spoke to the suspect and told him to leave and then turned to walk back upstairs. The suspect stabbed him in the back and fled the area on foot. The victim was taken to hospital to be treated for a small puncture wound. It appears that the victim and the suspect are known to one another and this was not a random act. The investigation is continuing.
