At 5 p.m. on July 31, HRP assisted Halifax Fire and Emergency and EHS at a medical emergency at Chocolate Lake in Halifax. A 20-year-old man was swimming at that location when his family lost sight of him. They alerted the life-guards who entered the water and located the man. He was treated at the scene by EHS and then taken to hospital in serious condition.
