GO #14-109105 - Pedestrian/Motor Vehicle Collision

At 12:08 a.m., officers responded to a report of a man being struck by a vehicle on Bayers Road near Romans Avenue in Halifax. Upon arrival, officers learned that the man had left the area, and a short time later, they located him on Joseph Howe Drive. The 31-year-old male pedestrian suffered minor scrapes and bruises and was treated at the scene by EHS. The follow-up investigation revealed that the man was not in a crosswalk at the time of the collision and he had crossed in front of the vehicle as it was proceeding westbound on Bayers Road. Based on the investigation no charges will be laid in this matter.
