On February 5 at 6:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle in a crosswalk at the intersection of Mumford Road and Ashburn Avenue in Halifax. The 46-year-old male pedestrian was knocked to the ground and suffered some bruising but did not require medical attention. The 69-year-old male driver had left the scene of the accident after providing his information to the victim. The investigating officers located him and he was issued a summary offence ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
