At approximately 11 p.m. on August 17, Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of gun shots in the area of Merson Avenue and Drummond Court in Halifax. While checking the area it was determined that a home invasion had occurred at a residence in the 5600 block of Drummond Court. The victim stated that the suspect had kicked in the front door and entered the residence. One of the occupants sprayed the suspect with a can of bear spray and the suspect fled the area falling to the ground several times. A second male was also seen running from the area.
The first suspect is described as a black male, 6’0”, wearing a white zip up hoodie. His face was covered with a multicolored bandana. The second suspect is described as a black male. Police located a loaded revolver on the sidewalk in the area of the home invasion. The General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division continues to investigate.
