The General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division executed a search warrant at the residence on Moody Drive. A 31-year-old Halifax man is currently in police custody and will be facing the following weapons charges: Section 88(1) c.c. Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, Section 88(2) c.c. Possession without Lawful Excuse( Molotov Cocktail) and Section 436 c.c. Possession of Incendiary Device. He will appear in Halifax Provincial Court on Monday

At 11:10 a.m. on September 12, police responded to a report of a man with a firearm in a driveway of a residence in the 100 block of Moody Drive in Williamswood. Responding officers took two men into custody who were in the driveway when they arrived. Officers cleared the residence and are seeking a warrant to search the residence. Members of the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division, as well as patrol officers, are continuing the investigation.
