At approximately 3:30 p.m., Patrol officers responded to a report of an industrial accident at a business in the 100 block of Burbridge Avenue in Dartmouth. A staff member was unloading pieces of 12” steel piping approximately 20’ in length from a delivery truck. Two pieces of piping fell on the worker, briefly trapping him underneath. A 44-year-old man was transported to hospital by Emergency Health Services for treatment of serious but non-life threatening injuries to his legs. The Federal Department of Labour has been contacted as they are the agency of jurisdiction for this matter.
