GO# 16-101890 – Man and woman arrested in relation to home invasion

UPDATE: Members of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division have completed their investigation and the man and woman that were arrested overnight will not be charged with offences related to the break and enter. The woman has been released from custody. The 33-year-old man has been remanded into custody and will appear in Dartmouth Provincial court on Monday July 11, charged with breaching a court order (recognizance).

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------At 11:30 p.m. on July 9, East Division officers were called to the 0-100 Block of Farrell Street in Dartmouth in relation to a disturbance occurring inside an apartment. Upon arrival, officers spoke to a 41-year-old man who stated that a man and woman known to him broke into his apartment and assaulted him.  Simultaneously, other officers attending arrested a 33-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman for break and enter and transported them to Police Headquarters where they remain at this time. The victim in this matter was not injured. The General Investigation Section and the Forensic Identification Section are currently investigating and more information relating to this matter will be released when it becomes available. Investigators are asking anyone who has any information on this incident to contact police by calling 902-490-5020.
